La Habra Seeks Volunteers for 3 Commissions
Volunteers are being sought to serve on the city’s planning, traffic and community services commissions.
One seat on each commission will be vacated March 31 when the terms expire for Planning Commissioner Paul Thornburg, Traffic Commissioner Donald Brigante and Community Services Commissioner Howard Derow.
Applications for the posts are available at the city clerk’s office at City Hall. The deadline for returning the applications is March 5.
Thornburg will step down after serving for nine years on the Planning Commission. Brigante and Derow are eligible for reappointment, city officials said.
The Planning and Traffic commissions’ seats are each four-year terms. The other seat is a three-year post.
Interviews will be conducted and new commissioners appointed in mid-March, city officials said.
