Baseball owners will hold their third set of special meetings in three months when they gather today and Wednesday in Phoenix to debate restructuring the commissioner’s office.
The search for a commissioner will begin after the job is redefined.
Discussions also will continue on a proposal to double the teams that make the playoffs to eight starting in 1994, and the possibility of splitting each league into three divisions.
