ROYAL HELPERS: He led a drive to raise funds to house about 400 homeless. She collected food for the needy. Together they’ve donated hundreds of hours of work for charity and church events. . . . So no surprise that Catholic Charities has picked Patrick and Jill Ortiz of Coto de Caza as king and queen for its annual fund-raising Mardi Gras tonight at the Red Lion Inn in Costa Mesa. “We’ve been so blessed,” says Patrick Ortiz, “it’s meant a lot that we could give something back.”
