CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : SAN JOSE : Delta 737 Blows 4 Tires on Landing

A Delta Airlines passenger jet with 55 people aboard blew all four of its main tires upon landing but no one on the plane was injured. Delta Flight 541 from Salt Lake City suffered a “braking malfunction” that caused the tires to blow. The Boeing 737 suffered only slight damage and did not go off the runway. Passengers were taken by bus from the aircraft to the terminal, a spokeswoman said.
