Two Northridge youths and a Reseda man were arrested Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl from Cleveland High School, Los Angeles police said.

Aureliano Vasquez, 18, was arrested along with the youths, described as 16- and 17-years-old, about 4 p.m., Officer Don Cox said. All three were held on suspicion of murder.

Detectives made the arrests Tuesday after tips from witnesses to the shooting Monday in which Rocio Delgado was killed and two others wounded, Cox said.

The shooting occurred when two groups of teen-agers got into a fight about 3:15 p.m. in the 19100 block of Napa Street, near Vanalden Avenue, police said.

A fight began between a boy from Cleveland High and youths in the street, one of whom pulled out a gun and fired several shots, police said. Alejandro Rivera, 16, of Northridge was shot in the torso and Aidee Hernandez Mejia, 17, of Northridge was shot in the buttocks.

The shooting occurred just hours after a student was killed by another student at Reseda High School, but police said the incidents did not appear to be related.
