Indiana became the latest No. 1-ranked team to fall to Ohio State, which, with the help of a three-point basket from Jamie Skelton with 40 seconds to play in overtime, defeated the Hoosiers, 81-77, Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio.

A 13-game winning streak ended for Indiana (24-3 overall, 13-1 in the Big Ten), which lost the chance to become the first team to go undefeated in the Big Ten since the Hoosiers did it in 1974-75 and 1975-76 seasons.

It was the third consecutive time Ohio State (13-10, 6-8) has beaten a No. 1 team. The Buckeyes beat Iowa in 1987 and Indiana in 1983. They had won only three of their last 11 games.

Skelton appeared to have won the game in regulation when he made an off-balance three-pointer with three seconds remaining to put Ohio State ahead, 71-70.

Time ran out as Indiana tried to inbound the ball, but officials put two seconds back on the clock because one of the Hoosiers had called time out.

Indiana then threw the ball the length of the court, and Ohio State’s Derek Anderson was called for running over a pick set by Chris Reynolds.

Reynolds made the first free throw to tie the score, but missed the second to send the game into overtime.

No. 14 Seton Hall 85, Miami 73--Terry Dehere had 21 points in a Big East game at Miami and the Pirates (21-6, 11-4) won their fifth in a row.

Miami is 9-14 and 6-10.

Georgia Tech 73, No. 22 Virginia 61--Travis Best scored 26 points to lead the Yellow Jackets in an Atlantic Coast Conference game at Atlanta.
