The L.A. Mayoral Campaign
The Times today begins a weekly listing of community forums, debates and other events in the Los Angeles mayor’s race. It will run each Thursday through the April 20 primary. Seniors for Action will hold a candidates forum from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Center, 5040 Van Nuys Blvd., Sherman Oaks.
The Los Angeles Business Journal and the Los Angeles Commercial Real Estate Assn. will sponsor a debate moderated by KCRW-FM radio reporter Warren Olney from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today in the Crystal Room of the Biltmore Hotel, 506 S. Grand Ave.
The Encino Property Owners Assn. will hold a forum at 7:30 p.m. today at the Encino Community Center, 4933 Balboa Blvd.
The South Central Political Action Committee will sponsor a candidates debate from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Victory Baptist Church, lower auditorium, 4802 McKinley Ave.
The Community Elections Coalition will hold a town hall forum, moderated by U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles), at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Museum of Science and Industry, Kinsey Auditorium, 700 State Drive.
