Darren Scott was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly pulled out a .22-caliber Derringer and showed it to a student at the front gate of Fair Avenue Elementary School in North Hollywood, Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert Schuit said. A parent who saw the incident notified authorities.
Scott was charged in Van Nuys Municipal Court with one count of possessing a firearm on school grounds, and could face a maximum of three years in prison if convicted. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail and his preliminary hearing was set for March 16.
