El Cajon Christian 48, Mission Prep 46--Sophomore guard Stephanie Shadwell scored with 38 seconds left to give the Patriots (24-3) their only lead on the way to the Division V championship at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Shadwell had 15 points and 14 rebounds for El Cajo, which trailed by as many as five points. Sophomore center Alisha Nater added 12 points for the Patriots.
Guard Nece Bonds scored 15 of her game-high 23 points during the first half for the Royals (22-7).
