Los Angeles : Voter Registration Deadline
- Share via
The deadline is Monday for Los Angeles residents to register to vote in next month’s mayoral, City Council, school district and community college elections.
Voter registration postcards, which must be postmarked by the deadline, are available at all city and county offices, libraries and some fire stations. U.S. citizens who will be at least 18 years old by the April 20 election are eligible to vote.
The Los Angeles city clerk’s office said voters should re-register if they have moved or changed their name since the last election.
Monday is also the first day to request an absentee ballot. For additional information on where to register or how to obtain an absentee ballot, contact the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s office at (213) 721-1100.
