Lem Barney, a Hall of Fame player who starred for the Detroit Lions, has been charged with two counts of drug possession, the Detroit Free Press reported.
The Wayne County Prosecutor requested warrants charging Barney with one count of possession of less than 25 grams of cocaine and possession of marijuana, 36th District Court Magistrate Richard Halloran said.
Barney, 47, was arrested Friday after his car smashed into a ramp on southbound Interstate 75 in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police Lt. Morris Brown.
