Stueve’s Raw Milk Removed From Stores After Salmonella Found
- Share via
State health officials Sunday advised consumers to return or discard some batches of Stueve’s natural raw milk after investigators found salmonella in a routine sampling of the product.
Potentially contaminated batches are Stueve’s natural raw certified whole milk and nonfat certified milk and cream, coded Mar28A through Aprl04, said Betsy Hite, a Department of Health Services spokeswoman. No illnesses have been reported, but the products have been removed from store shelves as a precaution, she said.
Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause flu-like symptoms, diarrhea and fever and can be fatal.
