COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Irvine Golfer Shoots 74s, Is Tied for 11th

Mark Christensen of UC Irvine shot a pair of two-over 74s Monday and is tied for 11th place with one round left in the Cal State Stanislaus Tournament, being played at the Turlock Golf and County Club.

Kevin Yamaguchi shot 72-77--149 also for UC Irvine, which has 602 and is in seventh place, 13 shots off the lead.

Cal State Long Beach and Cal State Stanislaus are tied for the lead at 589. Cal State Stanislaus’ B team is in third at 592.

In nonconference women’s tennis:

Fresno State 7, UC Irvine 2--Jennifer Wall defeated Patricia Marosove, 6-2, 6-3, for the Anteaters’ only singles victory. Irvine is 4-10.
