Davis Cup Politics Is Real ‘Crying Game’
I guess the bad guys do win--sometimes. Tennis stars Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Pete Sampras and John McEnroe didn’t want Tom Gorman to lead the United States Davis Cup team. They wanted John McEnroe to lead our once-prestigious team. They didn’t play, and we lost to Australia. It wasn’t Gorman’s fault. The cry-babies chose not to play.
