COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Berman, Cal Lutheran Keep Streaks Intact With 5-0 Victory Over La Verne

Cal Lutheran right-hander Jeff Berman won his seventh consecutive decision of the season, beating host La Verne, 5-0, in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference baseball game.
Berman, a senior right-hander from Newbury Park High, improved to 7-0. In two seasons with the Kingsmen, Berman is 11-0. He scattered six hits and struck out seven.
Cal Lutheran improved to 19-4, 10-0 in the SCIAC. La Verne is 8-10-1, 5-5 in the SCIAC.
The game was scoreless after seven innings, but the Kingsmen scored four runs in the eighth, highlighted by a two-run single by Scott Sebbo, who was two for three with three runs batted in.
SOFTBALL
Antelope Valley 8, Citrus 0--Angie LePage struck out 10 and allowed only two hits, leading the Marauders (20-4, 8-0) to a Foothill Conference victory.
Yvette Allen, Cheree Rogers and Bonnie Malvin each had two hits for Antelope Valley.
The Marauders have won 13 of their past 14 games.
