* * * Kentucky HeadHunters, “Rave On!!” Mercury. Having replaced its two lead singers last year, the group has reinstated the lineup it had in the early ‘80s, when it was a popular Southern bar band called Itchy Brother. The old chemistry still works. The quintet is now less overtly forceful, and far more flexible, than on its two previous albums. The result is driving country rock that’s fleet-footed instead of ham-fisted.
