Three men were shot and wounded Saturday in two unrelated attacks, and police said Sunday that they have no suspects or motives in either of the incidents.

Officers were called to the El Farcaso bar at 701 N. Harbor Blvd. about 6 p.m., where they found two wounded patrons, Police Sgt. Roger Scharf said. One had been shot in the head, the other in a cheek.

Scharf said the shootings appeared to stem from a barroom brawl. Neither man was identified.

Both were taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where the victim with the head wound remained in critical condition.

In the second incident, police responding to a report of a shooting found a young man lying in the road at 21st and Alona streets.

The unidentified man, who police said was in his 20s, was shot seven times, including one shot to the head and another to the heart, Scharf said.

He was taken to UCI Medical Center and was in critical condition Sunday, police said.

Gang detectives were at the scene, Scharf said, but it was unknown if the shooting was gang-related.
