Candidates ‘Don’t Get It’

In reference to “Students Deal With Snub by Candidates” (Times Valley Edition, March 21), isn’t it sad that the many candidates running for mayor of Los Angeles “don’t get it?” Just below this article was another article noting that our present mayor is on a $250,000 vacation in Europe paid for by the taxpayers. It appears we are run by the Marie Antoinette school of government.
A polite letter to the students before the forum would have shown some class. All we will have is decay, declining property values, lost jobs, pollution, dysfunctional schools and rampant crime. No wonder people are leaving in droves.
