Jennings’ New Boss: Emily Rooney has been named executive producer of ABC’s “World News Tonight With Peter Jennings.” She replaces Paul Friedman, who recently was named executive vice president of ABC News. Rooney is currently news director at Boston’s WCVB-TV, which last year won a DuPont Award for excellence in news coverage.
