The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston has upheld a U.S. District Court order requiring Brown University to immediately reinstate its women’s gymnastics and volleyball teams to full varsity status. The ruling is the first appeals court decision applying Title IX to intercollegiate athletics.
