Silver of Silver heads a field of nine 3-year-old hopefuls for the Kentucky Derby in the $125,000-added Lexington Stakes at Keeneland today.

Silver of Silver has been made a 3-1 favorite in the Grade II race over 1 1/16th miles. Wild Gale is the 4-1 second choice, followed by Grand Jewel and El Atroz, each at 5-1.

Silver of Silver has two stakes victories this year, including the Remsen by a half-length over Dalhart. The Florida-bred colt had been pointed to the Blue Grass Stakes but was forced to miss the race because of an infection in his throat and lungs.
