Knaub, Driscoll Break Records

BOSTON — Jim Knaub of Long Beach bettered his world record in the wheelchair division of Monday’s Boston Marathon, completing the race in 1 hour 22 minutes 17 seconds.
Knaub, 37, set a record here last year with a winning time of 1:26:28. It was the fifth time he has won the event.
Mustapha Badid of France was second in 1:23:33.
Jean Driscoll of Champaign, Ill., broke her world record with a time of 1:34:50. Her previous record, also set last year, was 1:36:52.
Connie Hansen of Denmark was second in 1:35:42.
Knaub and Driscoll each won $26,500.
