Orange County principals will again begin the process of league realignment today, according to Warren Stephenson, Western High School principal.

A proposal was approved last month, 32-26, but that proposal was rejected by Southern Section Commissioner Stan Thomas after a group of principals complained about the decision-making process.

A three-member committee was formed to outline a process to which the principals would have to adhere.

--On May 4, a subcommittee, which has a representative from each league, will meet to hear any other proposals. They will then draw up a list of proposals and present it to the principals May 11.

--On May 11, all principals will meet to discuss those proposals. Copies of every proposal will be mailed out and principals must select their top eight choices before a May 17 meeting.

--On May 17, the date all league realignment proposals are due to the Southern Section office, principals again will meet to narrow their choices to one proposal, which immediately will be forwarded.
