PBS Sews Up ‘The Civil War’ Series Until 1997

PBS has secured broadcast rights to Ken Burns’ “The Civil War,” the most-watched series in public television’s history, through 1997. The documentary will next be seen on PBS in the summer of 1994.
“I am delighted to continue my relationship with PBS, which I consider my home,” Burns said.
