CHATSWORTH : Reward Offered in Carjacking Death
- Share via
The Los Angeles City Council passed a measure offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man who killed a Chatsworth businessman in a carjacking.
Councilman Hal Bernson introduced the motion at a council meeting Tuesday to help solve the slaying of Naghi Ghoraishy, 74, a retired businessman. Ghoraishy was shot at a gas station in March after a man in his early to mid-20s forced him to get out of his gold Mercedes-Benz, police said.
The gunman fled in the car, and Ghoraishy died at the scene, police said.
The carjacker was wearing a hooded sweat shirt that made identification difficult, police said, and investigators have few leads in the case.
