Moving On: Brandon Tartikoff, the former Paramount Pictures chairman who resigned in 1992 to spend more time in New Orleans with his young daughter, who is rehabilitating after a car crash, will serve as film and TV producer in residence this fall at the University of New Orleans. Also joining the faculty is director Taylor Hackford (“Bound by Honor,” “An Officer and a Gentleman”). . . . Former “Tonight Show” music director Doc Severinsen has been named the first principal pops conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra. The job is his first post with one of the nation’s top 10 symphony orchestras.
