NORTH HOLLYWOOD : Boy Hurt in Hit-Run; Police Seek Driver
A driver hit and injured a 7-year-old boy on a North Hollywood street and fled the scene, authorities said Thursday.
The boy, whose name was not released, was struck when he was crossing Morella Avenue near Dehougne Street about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Los Angeles police said. The driver of the car--an early ‘70s two-door Datsun--sped off without stopping, police said.
Paramedics airlifted the boy to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, where he was in good condition with a broken leg, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Officers ask that anyone with information about the incident call Valley Traffic Division at (818) 989-8391.
