Obituaries : Mick Ronson, Guitarist Played With Bowie

Mick Ronson, 46, rock guitarist who played with and arranged music for David Bowie. He played as part of Bowie’s backup group, The Spiders from Mars, and co-arranged and performed on “Ziggy Stardust,” the 1972 album credited with establishing Bowie as a star. Later Ronson was a singer and guitarist with Mott the Hoople, and played with Lou Reed and Bob Dylan. Ronson also established himself as a record producer. On Friday in London of cancer.
