Local Restaurants Getting Ready for Mom’s Big Day

Mother’s Day is coming, and the restaurants are ready.

The Disneyland Hotel at 1150 West Cerritos Ave. in Anaheim is serving a “Supercalifragilistic” Mother’s Day brunch in its Grand Ballroom on Sunday, complete with visits from Mary Poppins and Bert and service by penguin waiters. The buffet, offered from 9 a.m to 3 p.m., will include waffles, eggs, roast beef and dessert; $34.50 for adults, $12.50 for children ages 4 to 12, $3 for kids 3 and under. (714) 956-6413.

A bay-side brunch featuring build-your-own omelets will be served at the Back Bay Cafe in the Newport Dunes Resort, 1131 Back Bay Drive, Newport Beach, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. As a special treat, brunch-goers will be invited to attend the Newport Beach Festival of Art, which opens at the Dunes on Saturday; $10.95 for adults, $6.95 for children 10 and under.
