Clinton’s First 100 Days in Office

Share

Quite frankly, I am sick and tired of hearing how every political analyst feels about President Clinton’s first 100 days. To paraphrase Jay Leno, it took George Bush four years to accomplish nothing, at least Clinton did it in 100 days.

I like many other Americans am disappointed that Clinton is not going to give the middle class a tax break, but how many Americans really believed he was going to be able to accomplish that anyway? I think the real issue for analyzing Clinton’s first 100 days is to look at the agenda he is planning for the future. Equal rights for all Americans, a national health care plan, increasing jobs--in other words issues that affect Americans. I think we owe a new Administration, regardless of its political alignment, more time before we can be critical of its results.

It’s up to Congress to get off its high horse and do what’s good for Americans instead of doing what’s good for the special interest groups that give them so much financial support.
