Ignoring Aging? For the first time, the Retirement Research Foundation will not recognize a feature film with a National Media Owl Award at its ceremonies later this month, saying Hollywood this year ignored older actors and actresses and issues affecting seniors. The annual awards, which recognize excellence on projects dealing with aging, will honor eight TV shows and movies, including “Roseanne,” “Northern Exposure” and “Dateline NBC.” Of the more than 300 entries submitted by producers this year, not one commercial feature film was included.
