Honors, Honors, Honors: Actor Denzel Washington, who played the role of rookie reporter at a White House press briefing last week in preparation for his upcoming role as a Washington Post reporter in “The Pelican Brief,” is set to receive UCLA’s Spencer Tracy Award on May 27. The award, recognizing outstanding screen performances, will be presented by Tracy’s daughter, Susie Tracy. . . . Actress Candice Bergen received a separate UCLA award, the Jack Benny Award for comedy achievement, on Monday. . . . Pop superstar Michael Jackson will get a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hollywood Guinness World of Records Museum on May 19. The award recognizes sales records Jackson set with his albums “Thriller” and “Bad” and his single “We Are the World,” as well as a record for performing before the largest TV audience ever--133.4 million during January’s Super Bowl XXVII.
