CYPRESS : Man, 49, Dies After Car Strikes Tree
A 49-year-old Buena Park man died after his car hit a tree, police said Monday.
Ping Shieh Miao was driving north on Valley View Street near Cathy Avenue on Sunday when his car struck a tree in the center divider, Police Sgt. Ray Peterson said.
Witnesses told police Miao’s car drifted right and left before running up onto the center divider, Peterson said.
It was not clear what caused the 3:30 p.m. accident, Peterson said. Miao, alone in the car, was traveling between 15 and 30 m.p.h., he said.
Miao was transported to Anaheim General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
