Man, 92, Dies After Fall Into Home Pool

A 92-year-old man apparently drowned Wednesday afternoon after falling into the back yard swimming pool of his home on North Rockridge Circle.

Abraham Tounassian’s daughter found him floating, fully clothed, in the pool about 1:40 p.m. He had been alone for about 15 minutes, fire officials said.

Paramedics revived him and took him to Kaiser Permanente Hospital-Orange County in Anaheim, where he was pronounced dead.

“We don’t know why or how he ended up in the pool,” Senior Deputy Coroner Rick McAnally said. “It’s a possible drowning, but he also had medical problems, so that may have caused him to fall into the pool.”
