WEEKEND TV : ‘Lost Fleet,’ and Clinton’s Tax Package
TBS presents an extended installment of “National Geographic Explorer” this Sunday at 6 p.m. that follows Robert Ballard, discoverer of the sunken Titanic and the Bismarck, to the final resting place of “The Lost Fleet of Guadalcanal.”
Military historians and veterans help Ballard identify 14 of the 50 American, Australian and Japanese warships that were destroyed 50 years ago during the famous World War II battle in the southwestern Pacific.
President Clinton’s economic plan and proposed increase in taxes will be debated this weekend on many of the public affairs programs.
