Not So Cheap

In the May 2 article “Off the Beaten Path in Rural Italy,” by Marilyn Goldstein, much was discussed about the use of a custom planner.
If the intent of the article was to inform readers that using a custom planner makes your trip easier and more economical, then it succeeded to a degree in its first aim. The planner gave them maps, itinerary, booked hotels and found them what they specifically were looking for in their trip. This cost about $350, which is not economical. Nor did I note her mention of one bargain. Her “find” was a $250-a-night hotel outside Lucca.
What I object to is the presentation of something as being economical, when it absolutely is not at all.
