Three Titans Named All-Americans
Four Orange County baseball players--three from Cal State Fullerton--were named to the NCAA Division I All-American baseball teams.
The Titans’ Dante Powell, a sophomore center fielder, made the second team. Powell hit .344 with 12 home runs and drove in 57 runs. He also stole 40 bases.
Jeremy Carr, a senior second baseman from Cal State Fullerton and teammate Dan Ricabal, a junior pitcher, made the third team. Carr hit .352, scored 55 runs and stole 36 bases. Ricabal is 11-2 with a 3.39 earned-run average.
San Jose State’s Gerad Cawhorn, who also played at Golden West College, made the the third team. He hit .405 with 10 home runs and 57 RBIs.
