WEEKEND TV : ‘Last Call’: Wake-Up Call for Teens

Tonight at 7 on KTTV Channel 11, Susan Lichtman will host “Last Call,” a look at the Youthful Drunk Driving Visitation Program in Orange County, which requires first-time offenders to attend sessions at a rehabilitation center, a trauma hospital and the coroner’s office.

In keeping with the drunk-driver theme, “Midday Sunday,” reports on medical treatment for substance abuse, especially for intoxicated drivers, 11 a.m. (11).

And “Signs of the Time” will feature a glimpse at restaurant liability for drunk customers and designated-driver campaigns, Sunday at 11:30 a.m. (11).

In sports, a victory by the Kings over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7 of the Campbell Conference finals, today at 5 p.m. on Prime Ticket, will put Los Angeles in its first Stanley Cup finals, against the Montreal Canadiens.

On Sunday, ABC’s coverage of the Indianapolis 500 from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway begins at 8 a.m., on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42. Al Unser Jr. is the defending champion and Arie Luyendyk of Holland is on the pole. The race is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.

The weekend’s public affairs shows will feature analysis of the House’s passage of President Clinton’s deficit-cutting plan, and the escalating war in the Balkans.
