Faltering PCC Group Reorganizing to Find New Areas of Profit Potential

PCC Group Inc. of Brea, facing smaller profit margins from its distribution efforts, said Tuesday that it is reorganizing its corporate structure to take advantage of other areas of business with potential for bigger profits.

PCC Group will become a holding company for four subsidiaries and divisions engaged in producing and distributing microcomputer products and multimedia products under the Media Resources brand and selling its products overseas as well as engaging in general international trade.

Its Prominent Computers Inc. subsidiary, which made Prominent brand microcomputers, will be dissolved because of lackluster sales.

Jack Wen, PCC’s president, said his recent business dealings in Asia lead him to think that his company’s products will do well in China.
