ENCINO : County OKs Contract for New Storm Drain
Construction of a new storm drain in a flood-prone neighborhood near Encino Park is scheduled to begin in August after Los Angeles County supervisors on Tuesday approved a $700,000 contract for the work.
Traffic along Ventura Boulevard will probably be disrupted until construction is completed in November.
Plans call for the installation of about 4,000 feet of reinforced concrete pipe ranging from 18 to 51 inches in diameter. Pipe will be installed along Ventura between Louise and Amestoy avenues, along Amestoy to Otsego Street, and along Otsego between Amestoy and Balboa Boulevard.
