CENTURY CITY : Reiner Appointed as Partner in Law Firm
Former Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Ira Reiner has been named a partner in the Century City law firm of Phillips, Nizer, Benjamin, Krim & Riley, the firm announced this week.
He will handle governmental and legislative affairs and cases involving civil and white-collar criminal law, said Ray Riley, a founding member of the firm.
In a stunning turnabout, Reiner dropped his bid for reelection in September, 1992, saying he could not stomach the negative campaign needed to retain the post. He conceded the race to his former chief deputy and successor, current Dist. Atty. Gilbert L. Garcetti.
