FULLERTON : District to Get 2 New Assistant Principals
Two new assistant principals will join the Fullerton Joint Union High School District today, the district announced.
Marvin Abrams, a former teacher at Vista High School in Vista, Calif., will become an assistant principal at Buena Park High School. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science at San Diego State University.
Abrams replaces Nancy Clement, who will become assistant principal at Troy High School.
Jackie Reedy, an assistant principal at Troy, will move to a similar position at Sonora High School in La Habra.
The district also hired Diane Hockersmith as an assistant principal at Sunny Hills High School. Hockersmith has been a teacher at El Toro High School since 1973, where she served as chairwoman of the mathematics department. She received her bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach and her master’s from Cal State Fullerton.
There are three assistant principals at each of the district schools--in the areas of student affairs, guidance and operations, Bice said.
