New Chairman, CEO Appointed at For Better Living

Richard G. Fabian, 50, has been appointed chairman and chief executive of For Better Living Inc., a diversified San Juan Capistrano company. He succeeds his father, F.G. Fabian Jr., 78, who continues to serve on the board of directors as chairman emeritus. Richard Fabian was previously president and vice chairman of the board.

The company also reported that George S. West has been appointed president and chief executive of Quikset Organization, a subsidiary that develops, produces and markets precast concrete and plastic products. Before joining the company, West was senior vice president of Field Point Capital Management Co. He has also been president and chief operating officer of ESI Industries and president and general manager of Interpace Corp.

For Better Living also increased the size of its board of directors from four to five and elected Karl M. Stockbridge as the fifth director. Stockbridge was appointed vice president of the company. He previously served as a director from 1988 to 1990.
