Share

A flea market will open Sunday at Fullerton College, with profits to be split between the college and Straight Talk Inc., which also operates the Cypress Swap Meet.

The Fullerton Flea Mart will run every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offer new and used goods, antiques, non-perishable groceries and household goods.

The market will be set up at the student parking lots at the northeast corner of the campus, off Berkeley Avenue. Admission and parking are free.

Operators of Straight Talk, a 22-year-old nonprofit organization, said they have raised more than $2 million since 1982 for Cypress College from sales at the swap meet there. Straight Talk Director Bruce Robbins said the swap meet operation has also provided valuable funding for his group’s programs.

Straight Talk provides counseling for adults, children and families, drug treatment and teen-age alcohol and drug intervention.
