TDD Phones at Airport: For deaf travelers, John Wayne Airport has added four pay phones with TDD (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf) service.
The north and south baggage carousel areas on the lower level each have one phone; the other two are opposite gates 4 and 11 in the upper departure area.
“We are pleased to provide the TDDs to make traveling easier and more convenient for the hearing- and speech-impaired people using John Wayne Airport,” said airport director Janice M. Mittermeier.
