Brazil, one of the giants of international soccer, was jolted, 2-0, by Bolivia on Sunday for its first World Cup qualifying loss in history.
Bolivia, which has not made the World Cup since 1950, scored twice in the final three minutes. Brazil had gone 24-0-7 since it beat Chile, 2-0, in 1954 in its first World Cup qualifying game.
Bolivia leads the South American Group B standings with a 2-0-0 record. Brazil is 0-1-1. The group will send two of its five teams to the 1994 World Cup in the United States.
