Accident Liability

I agree with Michael J. Lieder of Cypress (Voices, July 12). . I too was recently rear-ended by an uninsured motorist. The young lady said “don’t do anything and my daddy will fix it.” Well, daddy can’t fix everything and certainly not the damage done to my car or my physical condition.

I like Lieder’s suggestion that because it is law for everyone to have insurance that a minimum amount of liability insurance be paid in full to the date of registration at the time of registration renewal.

I also agree with the idea that any car without a sticker for insurance could be ticketed and/or confiscated until the owner shows proof of insurance. I’m angered about paying for the accident and the uninsured getting off without consequence.
