Titans Add Wyoming in Basketball

Cal State Fullerton, faced with a hole in its schedule after the Freedom Bowl Basketball Classic was scrapped, has scheduled a game at the University of Wyoming on Dec. 4.

“We hung with (the Freedom Bowl Classic) about as long as we could, but we were in the 11th hour with our schedule and had to put some things together,” Fullerton Athletic Director Bill Shumard said. “I wanted badly to see us play in the new (Anaheim) arena and be a part of what the Orange County Sports Assn. is doing.”

The game at Wyoming will open the Titans’ 1993-94 season and will be the first of eight nonconference games. Fullerton will play host to Utah Dec. 18, the first of a two-game, home-and-home series with the Utes, and make its only “extended” nonconference trip three days later, for games at Colorado (Dec. 21) and Colorado State (Dec. 23).
