500 Lose Power in Huntington Harbour
HUNTINGTON BEACH —
Electrical power was cut to about 500 residences and businesses in the Huntington Harbour area Saturday morning, authorities said.
Charles Wilson, a spokesman for Southern California Edison, said an underground cable or transformer failed about 8:55 a.m.
Power was restored to all but a few customers by 11:25 a.m., Wilson said, and those remaining were expected to be back on line later in the day.
A week ago, a similar blackout struck Dana Point Harbor, but was caused by a vehicle knocking over a utility pole.
