A San Luis Obispo lawyer said Sunday he plans to file a lawsuit on behalf of a Marshall Savoy, an 11-year-old boy injured when Vince Coleman allegedly tossed an explosive device at Dodger Stadium on July 24.

Cecilia Asher of Creston, Calif., Savoy’s mother, told the San Luis Obispo Telegram-Tribune that Savoy was in the parking lot with his brothers Dylan and Kenneth Savoy and two friends.

The parents of Amanda Santos, 2 1/2, also have hired an attorney who has announced plans for a lawsuit.

Asher said her son was standing behind Santos at the time of the incident and was getting an autograph from Dodger second baseman Jody Reed. After the incident, Asher said, she took Savoy to the Dodger Stadium security office for treatment of a puncture wound on his leg.

Coleman and New York Met teammate Bobby Bonilla were in a Jeep driven by Eric Davis of the Dodgers when Coleman allegedly tossed the explosive device. Coleman apologized five days later.

The wound didn’t require stitches, and team spokesman Jim Samia said, “It’s nothing serious.”

Clemens was driving along a Baltimore highway Sunday morning when he noticed a dog on the road that had apparently been hit by a car, according to Baltimore police.

Clemens got out of his car to move the dog to the side of the road when it nipped him on the right thumb.
